Legend has it that sage Vyasa came to Lord Ganesha to request help. He needed Ganesha to interpret the whole epic for him, whereupon Ganesha concurred however on one condition. He advised Vyasa to continue recounting the sections immediately.

Presently Vyasa knew Ganesha's speed, so to profit himself a break, he disclosed to Ganesha that he should see each section before he records it. Thusly, at whatever point Vyasa required a break, he would toss in a somewhat troublesome section.

Lord Ganesha's dedication when scribbling Mahabharata: When lord Ganesha was scribbling Mahabharata, at a point he broke his instrument with which he was writing. Without thinking for even a second he broke a small part of his teeth and started scribbling to catch the speed of Vedavyasa!!
