Surdas was probably the best fan of Lord Krishna. He cherished Krishna so much that he composed over a lakh of reverential melodies in his honor. Surdas was a visually impaired man, as indicated by the story, who once removed Radha's anklet when she was tailing him.

When requested to restore it, he can't, expressing that he was unable to affirm her way of life as he was visually impaired. Now, Krishna favored him with sight, after which Surdas asked Krishna to remove his sight once more.

When inquired as to why, he said that he had seen Krishna, and there was nothing else he needed to see once more."
